Statue, Portrait of Lőrinc Szabó

The bronze portrait of Lőrinc Szabó, born in Miskolc, created by Miklós Borsos was inaugurated on 7th August 1980 in the garden of the City Library bearing the poet’s name, as the first statue of the poet, set up in public area.

Relief of Lőrinc Szabó

The primary school built in the neighbourhood of the one-time birth-place of Lőrinc Szabó took up the name of the poet on 31st March 1992. The relief, a masterpiece of sculptor Péter Szanyi, was inaugurated at the main entrance of the school.

Roman Catholic Parish House

The one-storey Parish House standing independently in the street line, north from Mindszent Church was erected in 1778 at the cost of the treasury. The originally single-floor building of oblong layout, today one-floor high, covered with kipped saddle roof was extended at the end of the 19th century.

Rákóczi-House, Dőry-Curia, Gallery of Miskolc

The baroque Rákóczi-house is one of the most ancient dwelling houses of Miskolc, built around 1652, which was the only „felház” (up-house), i.e. one-storey house in Miskolc until 1702. It was the accommodation of Prince Francis II Rákóczi as well; its name originates from this fact.

Postakürt (Post-horn) Gallery

The permanent exhibition presenting the post history of Miskolc and its environs was opened in the 4th floor of the Miskolc Directorate of the Hungarian Post Plc. Historical deeds, documents, maps, objects of more than 200 years and the furnishing of a post office from the beginning of the last century help to get acquainted with the post service of North-Hungary.
